At Your Service
The primary purpose of District 16 is to carry our message of recovery to the alcoholic seeking help. It is our hope that this website will assist alcoholics in developing face-to-face contact with one another. Through shared experience and the support we provide one another, our strides on the path of recovery become evermore strong.
The guiding principles of District 16 and the content in this site are taken from Alcoholics Anonymous as defined in the Preamble of Alcoholics Anonymous, the Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions, and other A.A. General Service Conference approved literature.

District 16 Motions
Motion proposals are presented at the District 16 Business Meeting. Motions must be submitted on our official Motions Form, which can be downloaded here.

Status Column Terms
Tabled: The motion was not determined to be “urgent and/or administrative” and was not voted on, allowing time for GSRs to take the motion to their Groups for discussion. Debate on a tabled motion will resume under old business at the next District Business Meeting, at which time GSRs can share the input they received from their Groups.
Passed: The motion was determined to be “urgent and/or administrative” and was voted on. A simple majority of the voting body of the District Business Meeting voted in favor of the motion. The motion has been adopted.
Failed: The motion was determined to be “urgent and/or administrative” and was voted on. A simple majority of the voting body of the District Business Meeting voted against the motion. The motion will not be adopted.
District Business Meeting Minutes & Agendas
Keep up on what’s happening at your District Business Meetings by taking a look at the agendas and minutes. Agendas are posted prior to each meeting and outline the planned topics of discussion. The minutes are posted soon after a meeting takes place and summarize everything that was discussed, including final decisions that were made and any motions that were tabled for further discussion.
